Shadi Adib is an animation Director, Character Designer and hand drawn Animator from Iran based in Germany. She finished with a master’s degree in 2009 in animation at the Tehran Art University and after all graduated as a character animator from Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2017.

Her film FUSE ran for competition in over 150 renowned festivals around the world and has received several awards. In 2021 she worked on numerous pitches at Studio SOI, as well as a feature film and a new title animation for “Trudes Tier”. Her collaboration with the Studio dates back to 2017, where she worked on the sixth season of the successful cartoon network series “The amazing world of Gumball” until she became independet in 2022.

She is a long-year preselection jury member of the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS).

From 2022 to 2025 she directed a new animated feature film “The Light of Aisha” for a co-production from Spain, Germany and France helmed by MAGO productions, Barcelona. The film premiered in Spain, early 2025 and will be realeased in theaters in her home country Germany in spring 2026.

In summer 2025 Shadi was invited to be a Judge at the Dubrovnik Film Festival (DUFF) in Croatia, where her Film was also screened, during the regular theater run in croatia.

Around the same time, Shadi started a small independend animation studio, “Studio Junoon”, and is working on a new hand drawn animated shortfilm for adults, based on literature by Herman Hesse, Sadegh Chubak and her own stories.
